     VIRTUAL DOMAIN MAIL FORWARDING
  
     Domain mail forwarding files consist of one or more lines
containing the virtual address on the left and the real address on the
right.

     For example,

     homer@artmatrix.com homer@lightlink.com

     This would cause all mail sent to homer@artmatrix.com to be
forwarded to homer@lightlink.com.
     
     DEFAULT ENTRIES
    
     Default or catch all entries have a virtual domain name alone on
the left and a real address on the right, like so:
    
     artmatrix.com homer@lightlink.com
    
     This says that ANY mail to anyone@artmatrix.com will go to
homer@lightlink.com by default unless otherwise specified by a
specific entry as shown below.
    
     SPECIFIC ENTRIES
    
     Specific entries have a virtual address on the left and a real
address on the right, like so:
    
     homer@artmatrix.com homer@lightlink.com

     DO NOT PLACE YOUR DOMAIN NAME ON THE RIGHT!  That will create a
mail loop and lose mail.
    
     Default entries for a domain should come first, followed by
specific entries, like so:
   
     artmatrix.com         homer@lightlink.com
     homer@artmatrix.com   homer@lightlink.com
     sales@artmatrix.com   homer@lightlink.com,jes@rahul.net

     If you do not want a catch all address, leave it out,
addresses not otherwise listed will get a 'user unknown' bounce.
 
     homer@artmatrix.com         homer@lightlink.com
     jes@artmatrix.com           jane@lightlink.com
     accounting@artmatrix.com    angie@lightlink.com,angie@aol.com

     All mail not explicitly to homer, jes or accounting will bounce
everything else will be delivered as usual.

     When there are two or more addresses on the right, the mail goes
to all of them.
   
     LEAVING OUT THE VIRTUAL DOMAIN
 
     When writing virtual addresses on the left, you can leave off the
@domain.com if you wish.  For example,

     homer homer@lightlink.com

     *ALL* entries on the left will be assumed to be at your domain
whether or not you specify it.
 
     The right hand domain MUST be entered on the right hand item
unless the address is at lightlink.com.
 
     You can have as many identical right hand items as you wish.

     For example,

     homer@artmatrix.com    homer@lightlink.com
     sales@artmatrix.com    homer@lightlink.com
     tech@artmatrix.com     homer@lightlink.com
 
     Do not put two lines with identical left hand items.  This may
cause your whole file to fail.
   
     Left hand user ids may be of any reaonsable length, but must
contain only LOWER CASE letters, numbers, periods, dashes and
underbars.

     homer.smith@artmatrix.com homer@lightlink.com

     On the internet, e-mail addresses are NOT case sensitive, so the
above forwarding can be advertised as

     Homer.Smith@ArtMatrix.com

     but must be entered in your mail forwarding file as lower case.
