     SPAM TRAP OPTIONS
 
     Lightlink runs a database of spam subject lines submitted to it
either by users sending spam to spam@lightlink.com or by spammers
sending mail directly to it.
 
     By default your mail comes marked with [SPAM] in the subject line
if our mail server finds a match between the spam subject line
database and the mail you are receiving.

     Some people really like this, and others really hate it.

     The default option is to have your spam tagged as best we can.

     If you get spam that is NOT tagged, send it to spam@lightlink.com
and it's subject line will be put in the database causing all further
occurances of that subject line to be tagged.

     If you get valid e-mail that IS tagged but shouldn't be, remember
that's because the subject line is in the database from prior spam.
If you really feel that subject line should not be in the data base,
then forward the improperly tagged e-mail to notspam at lightlink.com
and the subject line in question will be removed from the database and
will not be tagged again even if someone else resends that subject
line to the spam data base.

     The reason we write it as 'notspam at lightlink.com' is because
we don't want the spammers to get that e-mail address, so write it
correctly when you use it.

     The SPAMTRAP OPTIONS web page allows you to adjust your spamtrap
settings.  Changes take place immediately.

     Goto http://www.lightlink.com -> USER AREA and sign on with
your lightlink username and master password.  Then goto SPAMTRAP OPTIONS.
 
     The options are as follows.

     1.) DELIVER MY MAIL AS-IS.

     This option leaves your e-mail alone and does not attempt to tag
spam.

     2.) TAG MY SPAM WITH [SPAM]

     This option compares the Subject: lines of your incoming mail
against a database of known spam, and if a match is made the Subject:
line of your e-mail is tagged with [SPAM].  For example:

     Subject; [SPAM] Buy our stuff!

     Tagging is not perfect, although it is unlikely, e-mail that is
not spam can have the same subject lines as spam in the database, so
the tagger will tag valid e-mail also if a match is found.

     If you do get valid e-mail incorrectly tagged as spam, forward it
to notspam at lightlink.com, and that subject line will be placed in
the notspam database and not tagged as spam again.

     3.) LEAVE MY SPAM ON THE SERVER

     Some people trust the spam tagger implicitly and don't want to
see any of their tagged spam.  Click this option if you want your
tagged spam delivered to your online spam mailbox.

     You can check your spam mailbox using the web interface at

     http://www.lightlink.com/webmail.
