Subject: SYSTEM: Billing Policy Dear Lightlinker, Thank you for choosing Lightlink Internet. Please take a moment to understand our billing procedures so that you might enjoy uninterrupted service. Also be sure to read our ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY and the SUBSCRIBER AGREEMENT which all users on our system are bound by. They are linked at the bottom. SMALLEST UNIT OF SERVICE The smallest unit of service we offer is one month. The first month is refundable if you are unhappy with the service. Thereafter monthly services charges are not refundable after they are taken on the first of the month. If you wish to leave our service, you *MUST* inform us before the 1st of any month in order to not be charged the monthly service charge for that month. E-MAIL AND PAPER BILLING Bills are sent by e-mail on or around the 15th of each month. We do not send paper bills, however paper bills *MAY* also be sent if you haven't read your e-mail in a while or if you have past due invoices. RECEIPTS We do not send receipts for checks received, nor for credit cards charged. Please do not ask for them. DUE BY THE 1ST OF EACH MONTH After you receive your bill, payment is due by the 1st of the next month for service during that next month. All Credit cards are charged on the 1st or shortly thereafter. For example say you come on line on January 10th. On January 15th you will receive two e-bills, one for January 10th through 31st, and one for February's service *BOTH* of which are due payable by February 1st. If you came on line on January 20th, which is after the 15th mailing of e-bills, you will receive three e-bills on Februrary 15th, one for January 20th through 31st, one for February and one for March, all of which are due March 1st. From then on, you will receive one e-bill per month on the 15th which is due by the 1st of the next month. LOCK DATES AND TERMINATION DATES Payment for your bill is due *HERE* by the first of each month whether or not you receive your bill. If you allow others to read your e-mail, be sure they do not delete your bills before you get them. Remember in general your e-mail bill is the only bill you will get. If payment is not received by the 15th of the month it is due, the account will be locked and may be terminated thereafter. LONGER TERMS Stores or businesses that need longer terms for their billing cycle may request 30 day terms with the proper credit application. Longer terms may be arranged for schools and city government accounts. If you wish to contact us about your account or your billing please send e-mail to Jane Staller at jes@lightlink.com or call (607) 277-0959. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ The following informational postings are available on our Tech Support home page.
