Subject: SYSTEM: Acceptable Use Policy v2.1 05/22/02 Wednesday 9:46pm EST Acceptable Use Policy This article lists actions that may get a user in trouble with us, and get their account revoked. Various items are NOT included in this list, and they include but are not limited to engaging in name calling, abusive language, slander, libel, harassment, threats, or other criminal activity, either in private e-mail or on public newsgroups. Such complaints should be sent directly to the police and CC'd to us. Accounts will not be pulled for these things unless directly ordered to do so by the police. A $100/hour clean up fee may be assessed against any user who violates our acceptable use policy. If this fee is not collectable for any reason, the user's name, address and credit card will be handed over to a collection agency and the credit card bureaus. Complaints requesting or demanding that accounts be pulled may be summarily rejected and the accused granted protected status. If you wish your complaint to be considered seriously, please write it accordingly. Excessive frivolous complaints or complaints which clearly do not relate to this AUP and which result in wasting the time of myself or members of our staff may result in the termination of the account of the complainer. Complaints should be sent to abuse@lightlink.com or homer@lightlink.com.
